A colourful exhibition by Swedish and Norwegian Matisse students

Konstsamling på Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde A comprehensive exhibition with works by Henri Matisse and a number of famous and not so famous Swedish and Norwegian Modernist pioneers. The focus is on the relationship between the students and the French master and how the artistic idiom of the students was influenced by  their studies for Matisse. Works by Isaac Grünewald, Einar Jolin, Leander Engström, Sigrid Hjertén, Mollie Faustman and Maj Bring, amongst others. The exhibition also features craft objects, sketches for theatre set designs and for works in public places, as well as films and photographs.
